Printing and Framing Care
Prints
Our fine art prints are created for people who want to experience special places, lighting moods, and memories not only digitally, but also to make them permanently visible in their spaces. Each motif is produced to a high standard and processed in such a way that it can unfold its effect as an independent work of art – whether in a private living room, an office, a doctor's office, a hotel, or a curated interior concept.
Material
The motifs are produced as high-quality fine art prints and mounted on Alu-Dibond. This processing ensures a particularly stable, flat, and durable presentation with a clear, modern effect. Alu-Dibond is ideal for large-format photographs, as the material is light, dimensionally stable, and at the same time very high-quality in appearance.
Surface and Effect
The prints are designed for a minimalist, elegant visual effect. Depending on the motif, format, and execution, a calm, clear presence emerges, where light, colors, lines, and atmosphere are at the forefront. Especially large-format motifs thus develop a strong spatial impact.
Formats
The fine art prints are available in selected formats – depending on the motif, in landscape, portrait, or square format. You can find the available sizes directly on the respective product page in the shop.
Special Formats
Upon request, individual sizes or special formats are also possible for selected motifs. Especially for larger rooms, office spaces, hotels, doctor's offices, or interior projects, it can be beneficial to tailor a motif precisely to the wall, the room, and the desired effect. For an individual inquiry, you can contact us at any time via the contact form or by email.
Authenticity and Edition
Depending on the work and edition, you will receive your motif as a high-quality produced fine art print. In the case of limited editions, the execution will be indicated accordingly. Information on limitation, signature, or certificate of authenticity can be found directly with the product.
Packaging and Shipping
Each work is carefully packaged and protected for shipping. Since fine art prints and framed works are delicate art objects, they should be unpacked carefully upon receipt and stored safely until final hanging.
Handling the Print
Please always handle your work with particular care. Avoid unnecessary touching of the image surface and do not place the work unprotected on hard or rough surfaces. For larger formats, it is advisable to move the work with two people.
Framing
For a particularly high-quality presentation, selected works can be provided with a shadow gap frame. The shadow gap visually gives the picture room to breathe and creates an elegant distance between the motif and the frame. This makes the picture appear light, clear, and almost floating on the wall.
Shadow Gap Frame
The shadow gap frame deliberately does not allow the motif to lie directly against the frame. The fine gap creates a visible shadow line that focuses the eye and gives the work additional depth. Especially with fine art prints on Alu-Dibond, this creates a modern, gallery-like effect.
Frame Variants
Depending on the motif, format, and desired spatial effect, different frame designs are available. Narrow, medium, or wider shadow gap frames are possible – for example, 6 mm, 15 mm, or 31 mm. The available variants and colors are indicated in the shop or upon request.
Color Choice
The choice of frame heavily depends on the motif and the room. Light frames appear calm, light, and understated. Dark frames create stronger contrasts and can give a motif more presence. For interior projects or larger hangings, I will be happy to advise you personally on the appropriate design.
Large Formats
For larger formats, it should be checked before ordering which framing, hanging, and wall mounting is suitable for the respective room. Particularly large works unfold a strong effect, but also require correspondingly careful planning.
Hanging
Due to the size and value of many works, I recommend having larger framed works, in particular, hung professionally. This ensures that the picture is mounted straight, securely, and appropriately for the wall's condition.
Professional Installation
For large formats, heavy frames, or special wall materials such as concrete, old building walls, drywall, or natural stone, professional installation is advisable. This ensures that the work is securely fastened and optimally positioned in the room.
Hanging System
Depending on the design, the work will be supplied with a suitable hanging system. Please use only the provided hanging solution and do not attach additional wires or improvised systems to the frame. These can exert tension on the frame and lead to long-term damage.
Positioning in the Room
A fine art print is most effective when format, wall space, light, and viewing distance match. If you are unsure about the correct size or placement, feel free to send me a photo of the wall or room. I will then give you an assessment of which motif and format might work well.
Care Instructions
Fine art prints and framed works are high-quality art objects and should be handled with corresponding care. With proper care, the effect of your work will be preserved long-term.
Moving and Transporting
Avoid unnecessary movement of the work. If a picture needs to be rehung or transported, this should always be done by two people for larger formats. Carry the work as upright as possible and ensure that it is not twisted or only stressed at one corner.
Cleaning
Regular cleaning is usually not necessary. Remove dust only carefully with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth or a very soft duster. Please do not use aggressive cleaning agents, glass cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or too much moisture.
Fingerprints and Light Marks
If cleaning is necessary, clean only the affected area. Use a soft, slightly dampened, lint-free cloth and immediately dry the area with a second soft cloth. Do not apply strong pressure to the surface.
Light and Sunlight Exposure
If possible, do not hang your work permanently in direct sunlight. Even high-quality prints can be affected by intensive UV exposure over a long period. A protected place with balanced light ensures a long-lasting beautiful effect.
Temperature and Humidity
Avoid strong temperature and humidity fluctuations. Rooms with consistently high humidity, direct proximity to radiators, fireplaces, air conditioners, or strongly fluctuating temperatures are less suitable for artworks. A stable room environment supports the longevity of the print and the framing.
Special Rooms
For hotels, restaurants, doctor's offices, offices, or other high-traffic rooms, I recommend jointly reviewing the motif, format, material, and hanging in advance. This ensures that the work is not only aesthetically but also practically suitable for the room's use.
